The walkie talkie... Reinvented.

Lets be honest, analogue two-way radio is dead. There is simply no sound business case today to go out building repeater stations, managing highsites, dealing with spectrum licenses and spending hours trimming antennas to get comms going.
Everything will inevitably be connected to the Internet of things, your radio fleet should be connected too.

You purchase our network radios as a replacement for analogue 2-way radio systems. Instead of the complexities of managing a 2-way radio network, licensing spectrum, dealing with highsites, power failures, radio interference and ultimately downtime, all you do is pay us a fixed rate for a radio that just works out of the box, and it works anywhere in the country.

The short answer... it's like comparing an abacus to a calculator.
Our network radios use data communication and can be centrally managed, tracked and controlled from our dispatching dashboard. Voice communication is transmitted digitally from the radio terminal to our servers using industry standard protocols, which translates into crystal clear audio being delivered to the receiving party.

Being a licensed first tier Internet services provider, PowerCloud has existing peering relationships with incumbent mobile network operators Vodacom, MTN. We leverage the extensive coverage of these operators to offer a nationwide 2-way radio network that effectively covers more than 97% of South Africa.

Yes it does. PowerCloud has its own mobile APN service and will supply radios that are connected and fully operational.

As it is complex, it may seem counterintuitive but the answer is an unequivocal yes. Our radios connect to a mobile transmission network that has tens of thousands of base stations, a network that collectively carries more than 70 million subscribers every day. Reliable? Definitely.

No, the radios need a server to function as all the terminals are centrally managed but you don’t need a server. We operate multiple collocated radio servers out of the largest data center on the continent. We offer radio access as a service and will ensure that our servers are always operational, its backed by a service level agreement.

Push to talk (PTT), is a method of having conversations or talking on a half-duplex communication network using a momentary button to switch from voice reception mode to transmit mode.

Our radio terminals have been designed, manufactured and integrated by Shenzhen Inrico Electronics Co., Ltd. (known as Inrico)
Inrico has been a prominent two way radio equipment manufacturer since 2004, it owns and operates a 6,000 square meter electronics manufacturing line and recently invested 10m Yaun (approximately R18m) in its research and development operation.
Inrico produces IP54 compliant radio terminals and maintains a factory quality inspection rate of 100%.

In partnership with Global Radio Link, PowerCloud is the exclusive national distributor and network operator of Inrico radio terminals. We have built an extensive distribution channel locally and have extended the capability to leverage custom solutions off our RaaS platform to various industry leaders. Yes you can, but it WILL void the warrantee and you WILL NOT be able to ask us for technical support.
